Bumblebees are one of the quintessential sights and sounds of summer. Join a National Parks & Wildlife Service guide on World Bee Day, and learn how to identify some of these furry insects in beautiful Glendalough, Wicklow Mountains National Park.  

We are running the same walk at 11 a.m. and again at 3 p.m.

Duration: Allow between 45 to 60 minutes.

Where: Starting and finishing at the Information Office, Upper Lake, Glendalough, A98R221.

Booking: Booking is not necessary. For more information, phone the Information Office Tel: 0404 45425 (open daily between 10am and 5.30pm).

Practicalities: Walking an easy flat 1 kilometre loop around the Upper Lake area. Dress for the outdoors and bring waterproofs just in case. This is a free event. Except for guide or assistance dogs, dogs are not permitted on National Park events. Parking: Parking is available at the County Council Upper Lake Car Park (parking charges apply), A98W778.
