Whether you’re interested in nature and ecology, local history, heritage farm breeds, or planning a visit with your group, our National Park supports a wide range of learning experiences for all ages. School field trips to the National Park are free of charge.

Our Education Programme


The aims of the Connemara National Park Education Programme are:

To promote respect, care and understanding for heritage and particularly for the natural world

To encourage the development of environmentally friendly practices

To inform the public about the National Parks and Wildlife Service and their role in conservation

Our Education Programme is free of charge and we offer a number of options for primary schools, depending on the age group.

Join us on a fun Nature Awareness Day or perhaps a Bog Walk. How about a Mini Beasts Day, or why not check out the pond life with a Pond Dipping Experience?
