Visiting Burren National Park? Start your journey in Corofin.

We recommend that all visitors begin their visit at the Burren National Park Information Point in Corofin.

Here you can:

  • meet our National Park guides
  • avail of our FREE bus service to and from the National Park (* May-September)
  • receive up-to-date advice on walking routes and conditions
  • collect a free walking map
  • explore our exhibition before setting out
  • use local facilities before your walk.

From May to September, a free shuttle bus operates regularly between the Information Point and the Burren National Park trailhead at Kenny’s Cross/Gortlecka.

The trailhead is a remote countryside location with no designated parking and no toilets, visitor facilities or visitor services. To help protect the area, reduce traffic congestion and support the local community, we strongly encourage visitors to leave their car in Corofin and travel by shuttle bus whenever the service is operating.

Outside the shuttle bus season, visitors travelling by car should park responsibly and be conscious of the local community and other road users. You should not park along narrow local roads, across gateways nor on double yellow lines.
