Burren and Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark Code of Practice
The Burren National Park Information Point in Corofin is a proud member of the Burren Ecotourism Network, whose members follow the Burren and Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark Code of Practice Code of Practice for Sustainable Tourism. Every two years, members of the network make their code submission where we report various aspects of our day-to-day business activities, such as waste, water, waste-water, energy, mileage and much more. Being a member of The Burren Ecotourism Network means being a part of strong community of co-existing businesses who support one another, share resources and have a common focus towards a more sustainable future for The Burren and Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark.
Visitors to the Burren National Park can contribute to sustainable tourism by availing of our free shuttle bus service to the park from May to September. We also ask visitors to Leave no Trace of their visit to preserve the beauty of the Burren for future generations.
We were recently awarded Green level certification for our latest code submission.
