BioBlitz 2024
Connemara National Park’s BioBlitz is being held on Saturday, 25th May.
A series of wildlife surveys will be carried out by Ecologists and Citizen Scientists over the course of the day, starting at 10am.
The aim of the BioBlitz is to collect as much data on the different species found in the Special Area of Conservation within the Park in one day.
To achieve this we are encouraging as much public participation as possible, from budding birders to expert Entomologists.
Everyone, young and old, is welcome to come to the National Park and take part.
Throughout the day we will also be running workshops and talks about surveying methods, biodiversity and species identification.
This is all in conjunction with the Biodiversity Week celebration within the National Park and will be the culmination of a series of events being held in the National Park.
