Celebrate World Wetland Day With Killarney National Park Nature Education Centre
Friday 2nd FEBRUARY 10.30 am -12.00 noon
Staff from Killarney National Park Education Centre will lead a walk along the Deenagh River from King’s Bridge to the mouth of the river, where it flows into Lough Leane. (meeting place opposite St.Mary’s Cathedral)
Along the way they will discuss the importance of conserving and protecting our waterways, observe the many birds and animals along the river bank – otter, heron, dipper, daubenton’s bat, and interesting flora that occur in the riparian woodlands and along the river bank.
