National Biodiversity Week 2026
Saturday 23rd May – Ballycroy Biodiversity Week Afternoon Talks
Join us this coming Saturday for a wonderful line up of short talks and a short film screening at Ballycroy Visitor Centre.
12-3pm Free Admission
We will kick of at 12:15pm with Mammals and Birds of Wild Nephin National Park and our participation in the European Wide Snapshot project delivered by Sara Sheridan one of the parks Conservation Rangers.
12:45pm we will break for lunch and give people the opportunity to grab a bite to eat or a sweet treat while we have a short film screening in the exhibition area.
2:00pm The Pine Martin – one of our more illusive mammals with Brian Hughes Conservation Ranger in Co. Mayo
2:30pm Birds of Prey – we will finish the afternoon on high with our majestic birds of prey with Irene O’Brien District Conservation Officer
