An Foscadh Mór
This is an outdoor learning and event space, located a short walk away from the visitor centre and car park, along the Lakeside Walk towards the castle.
This area is designed for the use of the Park’s Education team and park events but may also be booked by local community groups, organisations and schools throughout the year.

Requests to book must be made at least 1 month in advance and availability for non-NPWS related events and organisations is not guaranteed.
NPWS and Glenveagh National Park do not facilitate weddings in An Foscadh Mór.
The use of An Foscadh Mór is free of charge.
Description of the space and facilities:
The circular covered area is 15m in diameter and contains informal log style seating. Electricity is available in the centre of the structure (by prior arrangement only).
We do not provide any furniture and access by vehicle is limited. There is no parking.
Normal park open hours apply to the use of An Foscadh Mór. We cannot permit overnight or night time use, unless additional safety measures are put in place and discussed with us in advance.
The area is monitored by 24 hour CCTV.
What you must provide in order to make a booking:
Glenveagh National Park is a designated area for the protection of nature and commercial activities may require a permit. You will be notified once your application has been received.
Users will be asked to provide evidence of insurance, event risk assessments and any other documentation deemed necessary depending on the nature of the proposed booking.
Any school or college group must ensure adequate supervision levels. The safety of children on site remains the responsibility of the school. The facility is adjacent to high risks such as a road, river and lake.
Note: Glenveagh National Park reserve the right to cancel a booking at any time.
