Lots to do and see at the Ballycroy Visitor Centre of Wild Nephin National Park – Páirc Náisiúnta Néifinne Fiáine / Mayo Dark Sky Park for this year’s ‘Seachtain na Gaeilge’.

Our FREE events run from the 3rd – 17th March 2026. All welcome and no booking required.

 DROP in daily 10am-5.30pm for our self-guided WILDLIFE TREASURE HUNT on the grounds of the Visitor Centre.

 To celebrate WORLD WILDLIFE DAY we are delighted that Máire Mhic Nia will facilitate a fun ranganna gaeilge from 1.30pm – 3pm on Tuesday 3rd of March.

 Máire Mhic Nia returns 1.30pm – 3pm on Tuesday 10th of March with a Mayo theme for our Dark Sky Park.

St. Patrick’s Weekend activities include:

 We give a warm welcome back to our award winning Ginger and Wild Café, open daily 10am – 5pm from Mothering Sunday 15th March onwards.

 Dé Domhnaigh 15ú Márta – we have Mother’s Day card making from 12.00 to 3pm

 Dé Luain 16ú Márta – we will make St. Patrick’s Day badges from 12.00 to 3pm

 Dé Máirt 17ú Márta – 2pm – 4pm after the Ballycroy parade, join us in playing a game of ‘Spéir Dorcha’. Have fun learning about the solar system, light pollution, constellations and wildlife.
