*Park Notice*

Following damage sustained during storm Èowyn, the following sites will remain closed to the public: Ballycroy Visitor Centre and Education Centre, Bangor Trail, Western Way (Shramore to Altnabrooky Section), Letterkeen Loop Trails, Srahrevagh Loop Trails, and all bothies and camping areas. These sites will reopen at 11:00 am on Monday, 27/01/2025, after full safety checks

*Red Weather Warning*

Due to the current Red Weather Warning in place for Co. Mayo, valid from 04:00 Friday 24/01/2025 to 12:00 24/01/2025, the following sites will be closed to the public: Ballycroy Visitor Centre and Education Centre, Bangor Trail, Western Way (Shramore to Altnabrooky Section), Letterkeen Loop Trails, Srahrevagh Loop Trails, and all bothies and camping areas.

Due to the ongoing icy conditions, the Ballycroy Visitor Centre will remain closed until Saturday, 11th January.

Please be aware that conditions at the Ballycroy Visitor Centre and the Claggan Coastal Trail are very slippery and should be avoided during this time. The Shramore and Kennagh roads to Letterkeen on the remote East Side of the National Park are very dangerous and should also be avoided. We appeal to everyone to stay

TEAROOM CONCESSION

Tenders are invited for the operation of the tearoom concession at the Ballycroy Visitor Centre at Wild Nephin National Park, Ballycroy, Westport, Co. Mayo. The concession will be for a term of two seasons, with an option of two additional seasons subject to agreement. The concession will operate for the period from the 15th March

Please note that the Ballycroy Visitor Centre onsite Ginger and Wild Café is now closed for the 2024 season. The Ballycroy Visitor Centre, carpark, and trails remain open from 10 a.m. until 5.30 p.m. Monday-Sun.

This Friday evening at 7 p.m., the Ballycroy Visitor Centre will be hosting the opening of the Mayo Dark Skies Festival 2024. As the introduction and talks from the guest speakers finish, there will be some light refreshments available and music from the talented Julie Langan and Laoise Kelly.
