Park Notice

Orange – High Fire Risk Warning has been extended until April 14th. Please note that there is no camping permitted in the national park at this time. Investigation underway following the outbreak of a significant fire at Wild Nephin National Park

This weekend saw several NPWS managed sites around Wild Nephin National Park affected by major fire incidents. A fire has completely destroyed the Claggan Boardwalk, and a separate fire is ongoing at the forest at Letterkeen.  The causes of these wildfires are still under investigation, with both apparently starting during the night.
