Heritage Week 2024, Connections to The Land

Saturday 17th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Postcard Making Work Shop, at the Ballycroy Visitor Centre,

Don’t Forget to Write, ‘Postcard Making Workshop with Experienced Creative Curator Ciaran,

Create a set of 10 postcards inspired by the fading tradition of sending a postcard from your holiday.

Sunday 18th Celebrating our Natural Heritage, 11.30am-2pm Guided walk and activities at the Ballycroy Visitor Centre,

Join our guide as they lead us on a guided walk around the grounds at the Visitor Centre and learn about the ongoing work that the team is engaged in there to restore habitats for wildlife.

Monday 19th at 7pm Dancing at the Crossroads, with Boxty at the Bothy in Letterkeen,

Join us as we celebrate Our old traditions of Boxty making with traditional Music and Dance, where the old crossroads once met in Shramore along the Bangor trail

Sunday 25th Celebrating old connections, Short hike along the Bangor trail followed by fun song and craic at Bangor Erris.

Join us on a hike along the Bangor Trail at Bangor Erris at 11am,

After we will join the local women group as they celebrate the opening of their new activities centre close to the start point of the historic Bangor trail.
