July Events

We have a wide range of free events planned for July. From hiking to kids clubs, there is something for everyone. Here is the line-up for the first half of the month:

Our events for July kick off this weekend on Saturday, the 6th, with a guided habitat walk at the Ballycroy Visitor Centre at 2 p.m.

On Sunday, the 7th, our Head Guide, Michael Chambers, will lead a 10-kilometer guided walk with stories from the mountains at 11 a.m. Meeting at the new Srahrevagh Carpark (see link for directions) https://maps.app.goo.gl/NJPUJyzka3SdgZg88

Tuesday, the 9th, at 2 p.m., will see the return of our Wild Child Club at the Ballycroy Visitor Centre. The theme for this event is “Let’s find some bees.

Thursday, the 11th, at 2 p.m., kids club at the Ballycroy Visitor Centre, “our Native Woodlands.”.

Friday, the 12th Atlantic Blanket Bog and Coastal Guided Walk at the Claggan Mountain Coastal Trail

At 12 p.m. Saturday, the 13th, at the Ballycroy Visitor Centre from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Don’t forget to write ‘Postcard Making Workshop with Experienced Creative Curator Ciaran. Create a set of 10 postcards inspired by the fading tradition of sending a postcard from your holiday. Working with recycled and preloved materials. Suitable for ages 12 and up, all materials are supplied. Limited places are available for this workshop; please contact 098 49889 to book your place.

On Sunday, the 14th, join our guide on our Habitat walk at the Ballycroy Visitor Centre at 2 p.m.

Remember, all our events are free to attend. It is also free to come and visit the National Park and Visitor Center, and to help you enjoy your amazing National Park, you can also avail of our free shuttle bus service.
