Join us for our Guided Bog Walks every Wednesday afternoon at 2pm during June, July and August. Leaving from the Visitor Centre, learn about the natural history of blanket bogs and the local history of the area. Please wear suitable footwear as these walks cover wet, uneven terrain. A minimum of 5 participates is required
Connemara National Park’s BioBlitz is being held on Saturday, 25th May. A series of wildlife surveys will be carried out by Ecologists and Citizen Scientists over the course of the day, starting at 10am. The aim of the BioBlitz is to collect as much data on the different species found in the Special Area of

Due to maintenance on the walking trails, Connemara National Park will be closed until 5pm on Tuesday, 7th May. The Park will reopen, as usual, at 9am on Wednesday, 8th May. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
The Hungry Hiker will be closed from Tuesday 6th February to Monday 12th February due to annual maintenance. It will reopen on Tuesday 13th February.
The Visitor Centre has changed its opening hours for the Winter months. The Visitor Centre will now be open from 9am – 4.30pm daily.
During the coming weeks due to essential maintenance on our trails, Connemara National Park will occasionally be closed to the public. At present, we do not as yet know when these closures will occur. Please check our social media posts before travelling to visit us between now and December 22nd.
November 2023 Guided Walks will take place on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th November. Departing from the Visitor Centre at 12noon each day. Good walking shoes and appropriate clothing should be worn. These walks are not suitable for buggies or wheelchair users. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
