The National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) has confirmed it dealt with a fire incident in the Five Mile Bridge area of Killarney National Park yesterday evening, April 2nd. The NPWS responded quickly following reports to assess the damage and worked closely with the fire services to control and quench the fire. The Minister of
Killarney National Park Tender for boating permit to operate ‘Gap trip’ Tenders are invited to operate boats carrying 12 passengers or less on the ‘Gap trip’ in Killarney for the period 1st May 2025 to 1st March 2027.
Due to the Status Red Weather Warning, currently in place from Met Éireann, the park will remain closed to visitors for the duration of the weather event and will re-open once deemed safe to do so following site inspections.
