Film Launch

Traditional Irish Dancing with Sarah Lennon School of Dancing

Date: Sunday 23 August Time: 1pm – 3pm Where: The Castle The Sarah Lennon School of Irish Dancing performs traditional Irish dance, which is deeply rooted in Ireland’s social history and performed here by local dancers of all ages. Free Open Event

Wildflower & Woodland Walk

Date: Sunday 23 August Time: 12pm Where: TBD Led by one of Glenveagh’s expert Nature Guides, this gentle stroll around the Derrylahan Nature trail will be all about discovering what wildflowers bloom in late summer. Patrick Sweeney Wood Turning Demo

Date: Sunday 23 August Time: 10am – 4pm Where: The Castle Patrick is an Irish wood turner and carver who gives trees a second lease of life by creating art forms from locally sourced fallen trees. Patrick works with various species of native Irish trees exposing the unique grain patterns and textures formed by nature

Ranger Led Hill Walk

Date: Sunday 23 August Time: 10am Where: Meet at the Visitor Centre Back again after many years Glenveagh are delighted to offer 2 hill walks during Heritage Week led by Conservation Rangers. Live Music with Ruairí Friel & Sarah Cullen

Date: Saturday 22 August Time: 1pm – 3pm Where: The Orangery With songs and tunes on fiddle and guitar, Sarah and Ruairí will play a selection of sets from Irish Folk, Trad and Americana as well as original pieces. Free Open Event

Wildlife Art Workshop with Robert Vaughan
